Potential
Don't set your goals too low. If you don't need much, you won't become much. Jim Rohn
I have had people say to me I make enough for me, I don't have a lot of expenses. Their comment didn't sit well with me. It was someone who comes across as very sure of themselves, knowing what they want and who they are. But deep down I think they are afraid of getting out and really becoming all of their greatness. Why settle?
Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday. Don Marquis
I never used to be so good at procrastination but it seems as the stakes get higher it is easier to keep moving things back so as to never deal with them. What I've found as I become more aware is that the energy it took to actually complete that task was far less then the energy it took to keep avoiding it! Whether it is the idea of exercise or cooking something healthy - just do it!!!
For 24 years of my adult life, by choice I weighed well over 200 pounds. I say "by choice" because I have never "accidentally" eaten anything, so when I choose to eat too much, I have chosen to weigh too much. Every choice has an end result. Zig Ziglar
Consequences and the choices we make - again can and do sabotage our success and our potential. The fear of the unknown is sometimes a consequence we can't wrap our head around.
Too many people overvalue what they are not and undervalue what they are. Malcolm Forbes
Wow! A lot of great quotes that I just couldn't pass up. I hope you see the common theme in all of these. Are you undermining your own success because you are afraid to move on, afraid of the consequences? I think the best thing we can do is set some realistic goals and achieve them!! And talk openly about what we are thinking - sometimes hearing those thoughts out loud helps you know they are counterproductive.

Michelle,
Another quote that really resonates with me is: "We can all claim to have potential, it is those of us who choose to do something with it that create success." Jade Soetaert
