Sharing

I find writing the Dragonflies and Daisies blog the toughest because I write about me.  I also enjoy them the most because I do get to share with people what is going on in my life.  This week I think that is what I'll do - I'll just give everybody an update.

I am still commuting to High River to work at the doctors' office.  It's OK but I am always looking for that data entry position.  I brainstormed with my brother and he came up with the idea that web design firms might need somebody to enter data on existing websites.  I like that idea.  He also suggested that I could enter data that people collect from trade fairs, conventions etc.  So I'm putting it out there.

I've ordered my flower seeds and they are starting to come in.  I'm so excited, just like every year, to begin the seeding.  I think I will sow a few extra 6 packs to use around the town of Stavely for the beautification project.  I have been looking for my opportunity to volunteer and I think I've found it.  I attended the sustainability planning meetings and love the idea of helping improve the town of Stavely.  We've come up with tons of projects to work on so it will be interesting to see what we can pull off. I would love to see Stavely solidify it's image as a western heritage town.  And after talking to my tourism brother he had some good, basic and realistic suggestions.  Most advertising these days is being done on the web - no paper or print.  So he suggested filming our rodeo and bull riding and putting clips on the town website and on youtube and facebook.  That sounds pretty doable right?  And what about a Stavely blog?  I never mentioned this at the last meeting - I forgot.  But how fun would it be to have people adding comments about our great events etc.  Easy to do and cheap!!!  I come home from these meetings and I am making notes for another hour because I'm so excited.  If anybody knows any great videographers let me know!

I am busy working on An Introduction to Living Creatively workshop slated for April 4th, 2009.  I'm so excited about this one.  It's a full day and on such a positive subject - creativity.  I usually set aside a couple of hours on my Thursday day off to work on it.  It is a lot of work but it's coming.  I think I'll even get to join the High River Library Project Coordinator on the radio to promote the course in March.  Fun!  I've always wanted to "do" radio!!  To register you can email Carol at programhrlibrary@highriver.net

After that workshop I will be hosting the annual spring clothing exchange sometime in late April.  I would love to hear if people prefer to attend an evening or Saturday.  Start collecting all the clothes you don't want or need.  Keeping your space free of clutter, keeps your energy flowing.

Speaking of clutter, my office is coming along famously.  Most of you wouldn't recognize it for color and all of the open desk space.  I haven't put the finishing touches on it yet, but it feels better already!  I would love for people to drop by and have a cup of tea and then I could show it off to you.

I got sidetracked - I was talking about courses.  So after I do the clothing exchange I will be hosting another My Life Blossoms Reunion in late June.  It will be in my back yard - I think I've mentioned this before - but I am still looking for inspiration on what to present at the reunion.  Ideas anyone?

Well that ended up not being so tough after all.  I sure miss all of my clients so please drop me a note and let me know how you're doing.  Maybe you want to get together monthly and do a review?

We should learn something and teach something every day of our lives.  Denis Waitley

Remember, there is nothing unrealistic about a dream that aligns with your purpose, ignites your passion, and inspires you to plan and persevere until you attain it.  On the contrary, it's unrealistic to expect a person with such drive and commitment not to succeed.  Cynthia Kersey
