Wow, I love that quote!  How nicely does it tie into my workshop on April 4th An Introduction to Living Creatively.  I know I have watched myself emerge - after each experience, each lesson I become somebody different, somebody better.  And the natural evolution has been the realization of the Garden Retreat dream.

I have come up with a mission statement for Dragonflies and Daisies - the Garden Retreat.  And I wanted to share it with you. 

Dragonflies and Daisies provides a safe place for others to come and practice awareness through stillness and self care in a natural, nurturing setting. 
It's amazing after I created my purpose (see Mar 2 blog entry) how easy this mission came together.  I truly believe that once you are clear on why you are on this earth that everything else falls into place.  That is why I feel so strongly about awareness.  Without it we are not living our life, we are merely existing.  What a disservice we are doing to the world.  After hearing about Natasha Richardson dying - so suddenly - it makes me think - wow - so quickly our life can be over.  All of the things we have been putting off until the "right" time.... So you really have to pack it all in to every moment - and I don't mean doing stuff or buying stuff but just really knowing and understanding your moments.  What someone did to us yesterday and what could happen tomorrow is irrelevant when all we have is this moment to live 100%.  And we do that by being still, by checking in, by taking care of our needs - no matter how big or how small.
