Working toward the future
It's hard to believe it's August! The summer is half over - it's dark when I get up again. It is such a fleeting time. Sigh. But I have done my best to enjoy it - to think when a breeze blows by with that certain smell of fresh and green and say - that's what summer smells like. It smells like the lake, the rain on dry ground, it smells like watermelon and berries. Magic.
While enjoying these moments and stringing them together I am preparing for my next 2 workshops in the fall. And I am trying to be proactive because I am running them 2 weekends in a row and shortly after that we are off on a holiday. So it will be a busy time of year. So while I have the time now I can enjoy preparing for the workshops. Things formulate in my head, or come to me as I'm doing something else like cutting flowers for the flower cart. So while living in the present my creative self is working on the future. It's a wonderful feeling to not have to force things. I know I have a lot of work ahead of me - but rolling into these two workshops gently has been a real treat and I am grateful for the opportunity to do that.
So if you are able to take 5 minutes or 15 minutes a day to prepare for something you know is coming - why not start now? If it just means jotting down an idea in your journal, or sending an email - do it now - just make sure the window is open and you can smell the summer,
